I am a girl I will talk…

Few days back when I was cleaning my drawers I said hello to my makeup as I have not seen them from a long time and I realised how much I miss wearing lipsticks. I love them..I have around 40 pieces with me, some packed. Today I read an article about an Assamese bride  wore a handloom mask on her wedding made of silk, very beautiful  and was looking classy I must say.

But this got me thinking अब Lipstick Companies का क्या होगा?

कुछ दिन पहले Japan में भी इस बारे में आया था कि cosmetic sales drop हुई है as face mask became obligatory. People have also started working from home and stopped venturing out.

अब face mask compulsory है but हम पहले भी दुप्पट्टे से या mask से face ढकते थे for obvious reasons like pollution or heat waves but this time it’s COVID 19.

In Feb 2020 only I was having a conversation with my friend about new matte shades of Maybelline and we decided to go and try the shades but now it’s like not worth.

Worthless ही है… दिखेगा नहीं तो लगाने का क्या मतलब. अब you will say की अपने लिए लगा लो but क्या करूँ लड़की हूँ तो तारीफ तो चाहिए न, जो lipstick कभी ज़रुरत थी आज वो luxury भी नहीं लग रही…I belive that cosmetics have been left with glut of lipsticks.

और जो products market में है mainly testers उन्हें हटा देना चाहिए out of concern that virus might spread while trying out products.

Why get all made up with nowhere to go? There is no right answer when it comes to how to approach beauty in these fraught times. I wouldn’t say dressing nice or putting on makeup is frivolous.
